Sick Kids

On Tuesday night, Adriana had a fever so we gave her some motrin and sent her to bed. We thought maybe it was because of her teeth. Then on Wednesday I didn't get to see the kids because I'm in class all night and Thursday I didn't see them much because I'm also in class that night too. I knew that her voice was getting hoarse and both her and Justus had runny noses and coughs. Well that night they both had rough nights so I thought I better get them to the Dr. before the weekend came. Well they both had ear infections, bronchiolitis and RSV. They didn't actually test Justus for RSV, but assumed that since Adriana was positive that he would likely have it too. My poor babies. I hope they start feeling better soon.

I'm presenting at APA!!

Last night I was thrilled to find out my research was accepted for presentation at the American Psychological Association Convention. Rob also had research accepted! So we both will be presenting at APA in August in Toronto, Ontario, Canada! woo-hoo!!

Who lives in a Pineapple under the sea?

I had bought this Spongebob Gingerbread Pineapple kit to do over Christmas break and we finally got to it yesterday. I guess we had plenty to keep the kids busy over break that Spongebob's house had to wait! Ha!

Justus' Birthday Party

Today Justus turned 3! Happy Birthday Justus! We went to Sioux Falls this weekend and stayed at the Ramkota. Saturday morning we took the kids to attempt getting some decent pictures. Then in the afternoon we celebrated his birthday with family. Here's a few of the photos.

Love My Dantae

Yesterday, Dantae got out of school early so off we went to spend the afternoon together. First, we went to the Olive Garden for a light lunch then to Chuck 'e Cheese to play games! After we played our fair share of games we went into the mall so Dantae could heeley around and then he wanted to go to Barnes & Noble. At Barnes & Noble he chose to get a Origami kit. Then on the way out we purchased pretzel bites and cookies! Dantae has changed so much over the past year and I am so proud of him! Today I went to his school and ate lunch with him and stayed for recess which was watching a movie today since it's so darn cold out! I Love You Dantae!

Christmas

We had a wonderful Christmas this year. Here's a picture of each kid opening a present from Mom & Dad. Adriana got a Princess laptop and Justus got a Wall-e laptop and Dantae received a game for a PSP which at the time he didn't have. He was very disappointed, thinking Mom had gotten him a game that he couldn't even play.



The kids all got to help put together a gingerbread house over Christmas break too!

Before break ended we took the kids to Chuck e Cheese and to see the Crooks Christmas light display. Adriana loved the horses!


Rob and I took a little break before the next semester begins and went to Omaha. We ate at some really good restaurants, shopped a little, sat in the hot tub, etc. My family took care of the kids for us. Thanks so much Mom, Dad and Donald.
